Rep. Massie Warns 'I am not suicidal' Amid Pressure Over Epstein

United States Representative Thomas Massie has made a tweet stating that he is not suicidal, following his push for the release and prosecutions of individuals involved with late sex trafficking financier Jeffrey Epstein.

(PLGNN) -
United States Representative of Kentucky's 4th congressional district Thomas Massie has been ruffling feathers in Washington after his push for the release of the Epstein files. Massie has been seeking the release of more information and files relating to the business dealings of sex trafficking financier Jeffrey Epstein, who committed suicide in 2019. This has caused him conflict with his fellow Republicans, who have traditionally followed the lead of President Donald Trump. Massie is one of Trump's most outspoken critics in Congress.

In a thread on X (formerly Twitter) regarding the introduction of Donald Trump's SAVE Act, Massie was discussing the negative implications of the act when a user responded with "Honestly i’m surprised af they haven’t kicked you out yet. You need to keep reminding the public each and every single day that you are not suicidal and are a great swimmer."

Massie responded by tweeting "I am not suicidal. I eat healthy food. The brakes on my car and truck are in good shape. I practice good trigger discipline and never point a gun at anyone,  including myself. There are no deep pools of water on my farm and I’m a pretty good swimmer."

This tweet gained 294k likes, and over 17 million views.

Former congresswoman Majorie Taylor Greene, also known as MTG, responded with "These are not the type of public statements that any of us should have to make. But I’ll back this up as his friend. Thomas is one of the happiest people I know. He loves his kids and grandkids. He loves his wife. He loves his life. And he loves our country and Kentucky."

Massie responded to MTG's tweet, saying, "Amen to all of this! Life is good here on the farm during my downtime and I feel rewarded by the fight for justice when I am in DC."

Many individuals online believe that Massie is fear mongering by saying this, while others believe he has to say it otherwise he'll be killed.
