Israel Rescues 4 Hostages From Hamas

Israel has rescued four hostages that have been held by Hamas since October 7th, in what is being called, "One of the most complicated hostage rescue missions in history".

(PLGNN) - The Israeli military has rescued four hostages, Noa Argamani, Shlomi Ziv, Almog Meir Jan, and Andrey Kozlov. The four were taken hostage by terrorist group Hamas from the Nova Music Festival on October 7th.

The hostages were held in residential buildings in the middle of the Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, and the hostages were being guarded by civilians. One building held Noa on the first floor, and a second building housed the other three hostages on the third floor, with the two buildings being about 200 meters apart from each other.

The operation, named "Operation Seeds of Summer", took place on June 8th and is being called by Israel, the "most complicated" mission. The main concern of the Israeli military was storming one building, and having the hostage(s) in the second building killed or taken by Hamas.

Between the two targets, the building where Shlomi, Almog, and Andrey were held was the most dangerous, and the rescue took place under heavy fire, and during the disengagement, dozens of terrorists with RPGs and machine guns ran through the alleys towards the targets.

Unfortunately, this resulted in the death of over 200 Palestinians, however this number comes from the Hamas-run Gaza Health Ministry, which has falsely reported casualties on several occasions. The Ministry also does not distinguish between civilians and combatants.

Tragically, during the operation, Chief Inspector Arnon Zamora, who is a commander and tactical operator in Yamam (Israel's counter-terrorism unit), was critically wounded in the rescue and succumbed to his wounds.

After being rescued, Noa Argamani, 26, spoke about her time in Gaza, where she was held in the home of a well-to-do Gaza family. The family had to be convinced to let her shower, and sometimes entered her room without knocking and forced her to wash dishes and clean the house. However, the family did give her food when she asked.

Noa was moved between homes several times, and was held for part of her time with hostages Yossi Sharabi and Itay Svirsky, whose deaths in captivity were announced in January.

Noa also revealed that she had learned some Arabic while being held hostage, and the father of the family she was living with said she was "blessed by god" to be held by his family.

During her time in captivity, Hamas used Noa in a variety of propaganda videos, which her family asked the media not to release.

Over 100 hostages are still being held by Hamas in Gaza, with dozens of them believed by Israel to be dead. Hamas is now threatening to kill more hostages should the Israeli Military attempt to rescue them.

Since the October 7th surprise attack by terrorist group Hamas, over 1,400 Israelis have been killed along with 36,000 Palestinians, with the later toll coming from the Hamas-controlled Gaza Health Ministry.
