UCLA Student Left Bloody After Counter-Protestors Storm Encampment

Tensions were at an all time high last night at pro-Palestine UCLA encampment, eventually causing violence to break out between the protestors.

(PLGNN) - Across the country, tensions at the most prestigious universities have been at an all time high. Students have gathered in encampments to protest Israel's invasion of Gaza, following the October 7th massacre by terrorist group Hamas. The students are demanding that the universities divest from any company connected to Israel.

Yale, MIT, Berkeley, Harvard, Columbia, and UCLA have all created encampments where hundreds of students have gathered in camps, where they chant and fly Palestinian flags.

Unfortunately, these protests have been anything but peaceful, with pro-Palestine protestors blocking Jewish and students from entering the universities, a Jewish girl being stabbed in the eye with a Palestinian flag, and even posters asking Hamas to kill the Jewish students.

In Los Angeles, California, students at UCLA have gathered to create an encampment demanding that the school divest from an Israeli companies. Yesterday, on April 30th, a female Jewish student was brutally attacked by pro-Palestine protestors, and ended up being beaten unconscious.

Last night, some time after midnight, a group of violent counter-protestors stormed the encampment, throwing fireworks into the crowd of protestors and soon after, the protestors and counter-protestors were fist fighting.

A UCLA student named Yusef had a counter-protestor run up to him and hit him with a piece of wood, result in the student receiving a head injury involving a large amount of blood.

Yusef was seen being tended to by another individual, and was told that it looked worse than it is.

The student's brother, @samermadeit posted to his Instagram story, saying, "this is my little brother, the most peaceful person you could ever meet...the police did absolutely nothing as they watched zionists violently attack his encampment at UCLA. america = united states of israel"

His brother added a short video of Yusef, with his face covered in blood, smiling. In the next story in his Instagram, his brother clarified Yusef was okay.

Today, Yusef gave a speech outside the encampment at UCLA, which you can see here.

UCLA Chancellor Gene Block has said a "thorough investigation" will be conducted regarding the violence from last night.
