(PLGNN) - Late scientist Stephen Hawking has recently became trending on social media after court documents revealing a connection to millionaire sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein have been released to the public.
Jeffrey Epstein was a financier that sexually trafficked and exploited underage girls on his private island. He killed himself while behind bars in August of 2019, an event which has been questioned by individuals close to the situation.
Stephen Hawking is an English theoretical physicist cosmologist, who had Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). This caused him to be confined to a wheelchair in the later part of his life. He passed away in 2018 at the age of 76.
Hawking's name came up in the court documents due to an email sent by Epstein to his associate Ghislaine Maxwell in January 2015. Epstein wrote in the email, "You can issue a reward to any of Virginia's friends acquaints family that come forward and help prove her allegations are false. Many online users believed this rumor and spread it around in the form of news articles and memes, however the claim was eventually traced back to a meme page on X (formerly Twitter).
Hawking visited Jeffrey Epstein's private Caribbean island once in 2006. He, along with other scientists, were attending a conference on the island about Gravity.
