Swift has been the subject of much controversy recently, due to the obsessive nature of her fan base, and she also achieved billionaire status. With all of this combined, recently events from Swift's past have been brought up, such as her 2009 relationship with Taylor Lautner, who was only 17 years old during the time they were allegedly dating, whilst Swift was 20 years old.
The couple never publicly admitted to a relationship, however images have surfaced of them kissing, along with many photos of them hanging out together throughout 2009. However, months later, a source close to the two revealed that they had broken up, and would remain friends. During this relationship, Swift was living in Nashville, Tennessee, where the age of consent is 18 years old, which technically makes the pair’s relationship illegal.
It is also widely believed that Taylor Swift's song "Back To December" is about Lautner.
