Biden Refers To Kamala Harris As 'Vice President Trump'

United States President Joe Biden lost his train of thought and mistakenly referred to Kamala Harris as "Vice President Trump" during his solo press conference.

(PLGNN) -
United States President Joe Biden mistakenly referred to Vice President Kamala Harris as "Vice President Trump" during his highly anticipated solo press conference in Washington D.C.

"Look, I wouldn't have picked Vice President Trump to be vice president [if] I think she's not qualified to be president," Biden said during the conference. The President appears to be mixing up his second in command, Kamala Harris, with former United States President Donald Trump, who he beat in the 2020 election and will run against in the upcoming 2024 election in November.

Biden's press conference was billed to be the best opportunity to prove his mental capability and ability to speak fluently and answer tough questions, following a disastrous debate against Trump on June 27th.

Social media users were quick to make jokes about this, with many memes and photoshopped images being created, such as the one seen here, which features a figure who appears to be Donald Trump and Kamala Harris mixed into one.

Earlier Thursday, Biden mistakenly introduced Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as "President Putin" during a NATO summit in Washington D.C.

Due to these issues, Democrats feel that Joe Biden will be unable to win against Trump, and have been pressuring Biden to drop out of the presidential race.

Ben Shapiro, who is a Conservative commentator and co-founder of right-wing media outlet The Daily Wire said on X that, "He [Biden] started off rough and is still having rough patches...but this is good enough to keep him in the race. Which is terrible news for Democrats and excellent news for Trump."

The United States election will take place on November 5, 2024.
