Elon Musk Claims Trump Is In The Epstein Files Amid Feud

Elon Musk and Donald Trump are feuding, and Musk has made the bombshell claim that Trump is in the infamous Epstein files.

Billionaire Tesla CEO Elon Musk left his role as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) on May 30, 2025, a day after criticizing United States President Donald Trump's "Big, Beautiful Bill." While the duo seemed to be on good terms during the departure, just a week later the pair was feuding over Musk's opinion on Trump's new tax bill. Musk is pushing for the bill to be stopped before proceeding through the legislative branch.

After online back-and-forth regarding the bill, Musk
posted on X, saying, "Time to drop the really big bomb: @realDonaldTrump is in the Epstein files. That is the real reason they have not been made public. Have a nice day, DJT!"

The Epstein files surrounding disgraced sex offender and financier Jeffrey Epstein allegedly contain information implicating some of the most powerful individuals in the world in sex schemes involving minors. Trump was a longtime friend of Epstein, however, claimed he ended the friendship before he knew anything of the nefarious actions.

The public has long pushed for the release of the Epstein files, and one of Trump's campaign promises was to release them. Trump released a limited amount of the files to the public, handing them off to conservative political commentators to read and report on.

Musk
replied to the post, saying, "Mark this post for the future. The truth will come out."

President Trump didn't directly respond to the claim of his involvement with Epstein, and instead posted to his social media site, saying, "Elon was 'wearing thin,' I asked him to leave, I took away his EV Mandate that forced everyone to buy Electric Cars that nobody else wanted (that he knew for months I was going to do!), and he just went CRAZY!"

Trump followed up the post by saying, "The easiest way to save money in our Budget, Billions and Billions of Dollars, is to terminate Elon’s Governmental Subsidies and Contracts. I was always surprised that Biden didn’t do it!"

Later that day, Trump posted again to Truth Social, saying, "I don’t mind Elon turning against me, but he should have done so months ago. This is one of the Greatest Bills ever presented to Congress. It’s a Record Cut in Expenses, $1.6 Trillion Dollars, and the Biggest Tax Cut ever given. If this Bill doesn’t pass, there will be a 68% Tax Increase, and things far worse than that. I didn’t create this mess, I’m just here to FIX IT. This puts our Country on a Path of Greatness."

Social media users freaked out when news of this came out, prompting all kinds of reactions.

The official Democrats X account
posted, "KILL THE BILL AND RELEASE THE EPSTEIN FILES!"

Later that day, the Democrats
posted, "What is Trump hiding? Release the Epstein files."

Rapper Ye (formerly known as Kanye West) seemed particularly upset by the feud between Musk and Trump,
tweeting, "Broooos please noooooo We love you both so much."

The next day, Donald Trump posted a screenshot of a tweet by David Schoen to Truth Social that said, "I was hired to lead Jeffrey Epstein’s defense as his criminal lawyer 9 days before he died. He sought my advice for months before that. I can say authoritatively, unequivocally, and definitively that he had no information to hurt President Trump. I specifically asked him!"

It is unclear at this time the authenticity of Musk's claims.
