After only days of the long-awaited GTA VI trailer being released, it is already being cancelled by social media users.
(PLGNN) - When Rockstar Games finally released a trailer for GTA VI after a decade of waiting, the internet was taken by storm. The video amassed 100 million views in one day, and users all of social media were amazed by the game. However, there are some users on social media platforms such as X (formerly Twitter), who have gotten "#BanGTA6" trending. It started when social media user and self-identified communist Jackson Hinkle tweeted, "Why are the ZIONISTS at @RockstarGames releasing this SEXUALIZED video game for children in America? Get #BanGTA6 TRENDING RIGHT NOW!"

Hinkle has been an advocate for the #FreePalestine movement after the terrorist group Hamas invaded Israel while claiming to be acting on behalf of Palestine. Hinkle appears to believe that Rockstar Games, which is the company behind Grand Theft Auto, does not stand with Palestine based on an in-game screenshot of the flag of Israel in GTA V. This was actually done by modders, and is not a feature added by Rockstar.

Another point Hinkle had is that Grand Theft Auto is a game for children, which it is not in any way. The Entertainment Rating Software Board (ESRB) rates the game M for mature audiences, and the game is designed for players of age 17 and up.
Fortunately, users on X have pointed out these blatant mistakes and context from X has been added underneath the original tweet from Hinkle.
Many more users have added to this hashtag, on Hinkle is still pushing for the hashtag to remain trending.
He stated, "If you STAND WITH PALESTINE, keep #BanGTA6 TRENDING!". It is unlikely that GTA VI will get banned.
