The New NBA Champions Have Been Decided

The Boston Celtics wins 4-1 against the Mavericks to take home the Trophy.

(PLGNN) - Boston is once again, the city of champions. On Monday the 18th, Celtics wins 106-88 finishing the playoffs. This makes the 18th title for the Boston Celtics, breaking the tie against the Los Angeles Lakers. This is also the first championship since all the way back from 2008, creating one of the loudest and fiercest crowds in TD Garden. 

All-stars Jayson Tatum and Jaylen wins their first ring at 26 and 27 respectively. Showing a dominating performance during the whole playoffs, they prove why they deserve the title of champions. This isn't a surprise though, considering that they have the best record after the season. Fans knew this would happen someday, knowing that the Celtics have consistently sat on the top seats for the last few years. 

Jayson Tatum has been in the Celtics ever since he was drafted in 2017. "These last seven years have been a roller coaster, up and down, I had to listen all the sh*t that people said about me and tonight it was worth it." said Jayson Tatum who's still processing everything after holding the trophy. 

"...is there anything from that that compares to this moment?"  said an interviewer.

"I mean maybe getting drafted that's something that you dream about uh but this is at the top of the mountain". 

A championship is probably the best accomplishment for a franchise, leading to the celebration of all the fans. This may be for the Celtic fans but not the Laker fans. The Celtics and Lakers have been long time rivals each having 17 rings far surpassing 3rd place which is the Warriors who have 6. Now that Celtics have gotten the 18th, they may be the greatest franchise in history. 

Many Laker fans have been making comments such as, "Jim Crow rings" or "Mickey Mouse rings" to combat Celtic achievements and to prove their fraudulence. But none of this matters now that Celtics lead the league in Championships.
