Former President Obama On Israel

The former president has commented on the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict.

(PLGNN) - Gaza is currently under bombing by Israel due to the recent invasion of Israel by terrorist group Hamas, and it has led to the most Jews being killed since the Holocaust. The United States has been left in a difficult situation due to Israel reacting to the incident by bombing civilians and using white phosphorus, a weapon which is banned by the United Nations. Former President Barack Obama commented “The Israeli government’s decision to cut off food, water and electricity to a captive civilian population [in Gaza] threatens not only to worsen a growing humanitarian crisis – it could further harden Palestinian attitudes for generations, erode global support for Israel, play into the hands of Israel’s enemies, and undermine long-term efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region". Gaza is home to 2.3 million people, half of which are children. The Obama Administration had tried in the past to negotiate a deal between Palestine and Israel, however they failed to succeed with it. This war has already seen thousands of casualties, and it's most likely only going to get worse in the coming weeks so the best we can do is pray for a peaceful resolution to this conflict.
